Astrographs by AstroSysteme Austria, more commonly referred to simply as ASA, are the best flat-field reflective astrographs on the market today, and come in 8", 10", 12" and 16" apertures with focal ratios of 3.8 and 2.75. ASA has earned a world-wide reputation in the astronomy industry for high quality, wide-field astro-imaging telescopes by using only the best components and manufacturing techniques. All ASA astrograph primary mirrors are crafted from astrosital, a glass-ceramic material with ultra low thermal expansion qualities. The tube assemblies are made of true carbon fiber, for excellent thermal stability, and include a ASA 3" focuser with servo-control and threaded interfaces that accept various correctors manufactured by LOMO. ASA also manufactures quality tube rings for each of their astrographs. They are CNC-machined of solid aluminum and anodized for corrosion-free performance. Finally, OPT also offers ASA's custom "Flight Cases" for each of the astrograph models. These sturdy cases hold the Astrograph, Tube Rings (which are sold separately), the focuser, and corrector, and are a safe way to transport and store your AstroSysteme Austria Astrograph.
