  • TH Solarlite Solar Film Filter - 1.75" / 2.32"

The remarkable new Solarlite White Light Solar Filters from Thousand Oaks optics are a truly splendid result of years of in depth research and development. These stunning creations boast the optical quality of a glass filter combined with the inherent advantages of impregnated polymer. Thousand Oaks insures us that this filter will not ever develop the pin holes and scratches that can ruin a filter utterly, and that it will not tear or puncture accidentally. And simple durability is far from it's only advantage! These filters are light weight and do not require re-balancing tube assembly, produce consistent yellow-orange solar images, and more! See bottom of page for a full features list!

This precise filter was designed with a clear aperture of 45mm\1.75", and an outer cell I.D. of 60mm\2.32". It is intended for use with cameras and finderscopes that have matching apertures.

    Special Features

    • Does not require re-balancing tube assembly.
    • Guaranteed by Thousand Oaks to never break
    • Produces a consistent yellow orange solar image
    • Even density with any aperture
    • Flat surface compared to other thin film filters that have wrinkles and creases
    • Stronger than any other solar film on the market

    Important Note about sizing:

The clear aperture (filter size) and outer cell wall inside diameter (I.D.) of this filter have been noted several times in the description of this item. The I.D. of the cell slips over and around the O.D. of the telescope tube or lens holder. Please note that the brands and sizes listed are only a guide. Telescope manufacturers sometimes make changes so we strongly recommend the outside diameter of the tube be measured to be sure the correct part number is chosen. Choose the closest outer cell I.D. size larger than the outside diameter measurement of your instrument.
