About the Takahashi FC-76 Doublet Fluorite Refractor Series

The Takahashi FC-76 Series is an updated version of the original from 1980. The multi-coated fluorite rear lens and eco-glass front element provides maximum light transmission. The design takes advantage of the advances in high resolution digital imaging. The advanced design allows the focal length to be reduced by 30mm 594mm at f/7.8.

About the Takahashi FC-76DC Doublet Fluorite Refractor


The DC model features a heavy-duty 1.25" rack and pinion focuser that can be easily upgraded to 2" with the addition of an optional accessory. A fixed dew shield is also a part of the FC-76DC package, as is a a smaller, lighter 80mm tube that weighs about 4 pounds as opposed to the 6.6 lb weight of the DS model.
