An astrophotographer's dream, the Vixen ED115S features newly redesigned optics that are sharper and offer better color than past ED optics from Vixen. These new optics are also made with the environment in mind, using no lead in their production. Views are high in contrast, exhibit next to no chromatic aberration, and stars are tack sharp.

Product QuestionsQuestion by: Gus Allba on Sep 29, 2015 8:55:00 AMThe Dawes' resolution limit is 116 / primary optic diameter in mm = x arcsecond or almost exactly 1.0 arcsec for a 115mm refractor (116/115 = 1.008).
This is an ED doublet with excellent color correction, and Vixen - as well as most amateurs - would consider it an Apo. The color correction is top notch for the design, and visually will have almost zero false color unless you are pushing the scope well above 50x/inch magnification.Answer by: Chris Hendren (Admin) on Sep 29, 2015 5:12:00 PM
