  • This classic achromat by Stellarvue has 102mm of aperture and a focal ratio of f/11. You'll love the contrast produced by a longer focal length telescope, especially on the planets.
  • The fully baffled aluminum tube of the Stellarvue 4" f/11 refractor and the fully multi-coated optics will increase the sharpness and contrast even further! Saturn will float on an inky background, and Jupiter will blow you away.
  • The Stellarvue heavy-duty 2.5" rotatable, dual speed focuser is an upgrade to this telescope. You'll appreciate the smoothness of the focus, and the ability to make course and fine movements by moving the appropriate knobs.
  • A set of rings, a retracting dew shield, and two eyepiece adapters (2" & 1.25") are included in this package, which will be produced for a limited time.

Stellarvue 102mm f/11 "Planet Killer" Achromat Telescope

Stellarvue calls this classic refractor their “planet killer achromat.” In order to create a refractor with such a infamous title, they started with a very accurate, fully multi-coated 102mm f/11 Fraunhofer achromatic objective, and then mounted it in a Stellarvue Stardust White, fully baffled tube. This SV102 comes with dual rings, a retracting dew shield and thread on cap, and a heavy-duty Stellarvue 2.5" rotatable, dual speed focuser with 2" and 1.25" adapters.

Specs & Highlights...

Objective Lens: 102mm, 1100mm focal length, air-spaced doublet Fraunhofer achromat, broadband full multi-coatings for extremely high contrast.

Tube Assembly: A fully baffled, precision machined optical tube assembly made of aluminum.

Dew Shield: 4-7/8" diameter dew shield made of aluminum, retracts for portability.

Focuser: 2.5" Stellarvue visual/photographic focuser: Many years in the making, the Stellarvue smooth and stable dual speed, 2.5” focuser provides a full 3.2" of travel. This focuser is perfect for visual use and imaging. The rear of the draw tube is threaded to accept the dedicated SFF7-25 photographic field flattener for most cameras and the SFF3-25 for large chip cameras. The focuser comes with two compression ring eyepiece adapters that are 2” and 1.25” respectively. The Stellarvue focuser is a heavy duty rack and pinion unit designed to carry a higher capacity. It has an ultra-smooth (10:1 Ratio) fine focus control to attain perfect focus every time. An internal brake system allows the user to adjust capacity. The focuser is fully rotating with a wide groove for smooth and precise rotation. All of the features add up to one of the finest dual speed focusers available today.

Mounting Rings: Dual black anodized, hinged, aluminum mounting rings. Rings have five 6mm threaded holes top and bottom. Holes include one center hole and two holes spaced 1.5” and 60mm apart.

Dimensions: 105mm main tube diameter. Telescope is 39.25" long with dew shield retracted, 44" with dew shield extended.

Weight: 11.8 lbs with hinged rings and Vixen rail.
