Celestron Omni XLT 150 Telescope - Reflector

At the heart of the Celestron Omni 150 XLT is a high quality Newtonian Reflector style telescope with hand chosen lens for absolutely the best optics available. We're talking about 6" aperture with a limiting stellar magnitude of 13.4 and 0.76 arc seconds of resolving power. Couple that with a 750mm focal length and focal ratio of f/5 presents an image with virtually no spherical abberation. With superior optics and a stable platform the Celestron Omni XLT series is a great choice for astrophotography. Use the optional dual-axis motor drive (#93522) and polar axis finder (#94221) to track objects for long exposure photography. This handsome scope comes backed with a two year Celestron warranty and will endure as long as your fascination with the Cosmos!

Great value
I've used my Omni 150 for about 3 years. It's a sturdy well build product with good optics. I only wish I had the extra budget at the time of purchase to find a motorized goto mount.

Great value solid all-around performer
We researched telescopes very thoroughly before settling on the XLT 150, and couldn't be more pleased. It offers an outstanding value in the market right now, balancing light grasp, very high quality optics, versatility and ease of use in an affordable and still-portable package. The build quality and attention to detail is quite high, and it offers enough expandability to satisfy growing interests for many years.

While no one scope can literally do it all, the XLT 150 comes as close as is reasonably possible. This is a scope that a beginner can use and grow into for many, many years, and is suitable for all ages pre-teen to adult. Younger children will need adult supervision, as with virtually all scopes in this performance class in our opinion.

OPT has been outstanding with their level of service and expertise as well. We have been very pleased with our purchase experience.

Disclaimer: We have no relationship with either Celestron or OPT other than being very satisfied customers.

Clear skies!

Product Questions

Will this accept 2" eyepieces?

Ok, looking to buy the Omni xlt 120 or the omni xlt 150. I want a good crisp clear view of planets, galaxies and nebulas. Anybody help me with my decision? One more thing, the xlt 150 is lil cheaper with the bigger lense, why? I thought bigger was better!

I've seen a variety of conflicting information about the focuser that comes with this scope, anything from a 1.25" rack and pinion to a 2" Crayford. In your specs it says 2" rack and pinion. In the answer to one of the previous questions it says 1.25" rack and pinion. Can you clarify this issue?

The specs have... Telescope Aperture  5.1" Telescope Focal Ratio f/5 Telescope Focal Length 750mm This isn't correct, right?  The aperture is 150mm (5.9")
