Product QuestionsPast versions of the ETX-125 had optics which were coated with Mead's UHTC coatings. I see there is no mention of it with regard to the current ETX-125 Observer. How do the Observer's "Premium Multicoated Optics" compare to the UHTC coatings that were used on previous models?Question by: Dennis Gregorio on Jan 16, 2017 11:20:00 AMIt's effectively the same coatings as UHTC at this point. Meade stopped stressing the UHTC coatings in advertising years ago when they stopped offering a non-UHTC option. There is a park position that allows you to turn your telescope off then come back to it later and it saves the information. Is the internal optical tube essentially the same? This scope will hold up well against an older model.
