Product QuestionsThe ad pictures the mount with a camera (looks like a Canon EOS Rebel). What additional hardware is needed if I were to use this mount with my camera?Question by: BobBlack on Sep 21, 2014 6:25:52 AMThe L bracket with the 1/4"-20 thread is included with this mount. That adapter will attach directly to the bottom of the Canon EOS Rebel or any other DSLR. The mount includes a cigarette lighter adapter, so you will need a DC power supply capable of putting out 12V.Answer by: Chris (Admin) on Sep 22, 2014 10:35:19 AMQuestion by: charles paul on Nov 4, 2015 6:19:00 AMYes, there is a way to connect this to a computer. This mount uses a SyncScan Hand controller, just like the orion mounts. If you use an RS-232 cable and USB adapter, you can connect the to the scope though the hand controller to you computer.Answer by: Jonathan Cheek (Admin) on Nov 4, 2015 10:02:00 AMCan you use a Celestron lithium iron phosphate power pack for an external power source. Skywatcher info only mentions internal AA's or an AC adapter.I need to know de dimentions, full size and shortest it can get to fit a travelling suitcase. I also need to know if it is suitable for a Nikon J2 camera. thank you.Question by: Sonia on Oct 29, 2014 2:54:57 AMHello Sonia,
Thank you for your question. The length of the mount head is 12 inches while the length of the tripod is 2 1/4 feet when retracted & 4 feet when the tripod is completely extended. The tripod should easily support the light weight of the Nikon J2 camera.Answer by: Roderick (Admin) on Nov 4, 2014 12:13:36 PM
