Losmandy V-Series Dovetail Plate for Meade or Celestron 8" OTA
The Losmandy V-Series consists of dovetail plates and other accessories that have the same dimensions as a Vixen-type dovetail, which is standard in the industry, for the most part. Losmandy V-Series can be mounted to many Celestron, Orion, Vixen, and Meade systems, and it all starts with the dovetail plate. The V-Series Dovetail plates can be mounted to the top and/or bottom of your tube assembly, which will in turn accept all V series accessories, making it possible to use both sides of the tube for equipment.
The V-series dovetail plates, like all accessories in the Losmandy line, are machined for lightness and rigidity from aluminum stock, then black anodized for a tough, corrosion-free surface.
Please Note: If you have a Celestron 8" OTA with a hole separation of 1.75", you will also need to purchase the Losmandy V-Series Dovetail Brackets. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call OPT toll-free at 1-800-483-6287 and we'll help you get the correct parts.

Product QuestionsQuestion by: Matthew Cozier on May 7, 2016 10:06:00 PMInternational shipping costs vary over time due to transportation costs and the change in currency ratios, but you can always get the current shipping costs in US dollars by adding the item to your cart and then entering your country, state or province, and postal code.Answer by: Chris Hendren (Admin) on May 10, 2016 5:45:00 PMI am hopeful of mounting an existing Celestron Super 8 SCT and a new Williams Optics 102 apo refractor side by side parallel on an iOptron eEQ45 Pro mount. Can you suggest the correct combination of mounting brackets and plates to accomplish this? I will be happy to purchase the plates from you between now and Christmas 2015.
Many thanks.Question by: Eldon Byland on Aug 10, 2015 10:34:00 PMIt is possible to mount these scopes side by side for visual use, but this will be too much weight and torque for the iEQ45 with both scopes on the mount. You would need a LO-DVSBS or an AA-VSBS side by side plate in order to allow both scopes to be mounted, and you will need extra counterweights and possibly a counterweight shaft extension.Answer by: Chris Hendren (Admin) on Aug 11, 2015 11:36:00 AM
