Product QuestionsHow can I interface the USB HC with Stellarium's telescope control plug in? The Stellarium plug in is looking for a COM port. The original Star Sense HC had a RJ12 jack, into which I plugged the RJ12 plug from a USB to RS232 converter, and it worked fine. Is there a DB9 to mini USB cable available to make the connection from the USB-serial converter to the new HC?Question by: Bob Wheatley on Jan 7, 2017 9:13:00 AMWhen a USB2.0 to mini USB cable is connected from the hand controller to your computer, a virtual COM port is created which can be located through device manager. Once you find which COM port the hand controller is reading on, you can tell Stellarium to connect to the mount over that COM port. No DB9 connection needed. Stellarium will not be able to handle the Starsense alignment process, so you will need to let the alignment finish before attempting to connect the hand controller to the computer.Answer by: Chris Hendren on Jan 9, 2017 5:15:00 PM
