This model includes the required adapter ring to fit the HyperStar lens to the Edge HD model telescope. An additional adapter would be required to adapt this lens to an older (non-HD) telescope.

Product QuestionsWill the corrector plate cover still fit over the Hyperstar on my 14" Edge after the installation?Question by: Jeff Wilner on Jan 7, 2017 8:22:00 AMNo, the Hyperstar will project too far forward to allow the front cover to be used with the lens assembly attached. The Hyperstar can be removed and stored in the included case and the secondary mirror can be re-seated fairly quickly, and then the cover can be used. An alternate option is to get a Hyperstar-compatible aluminum dew shield: https://www.optcorp.com/astrozap-hyperstar-shorty-dewshield-celestron-14inch.html and then use a metal dew shield cap: https://www.optcorp.com/astrozap-14-celestron-dew-shield-cap-black.html.Answer by: Chris Hendren on Jan 9, 2017 5:10:00 PMQuestion by: Seven63 on Nov 27, 2014 12:56:32 PMThank you for your question. The Nightscape CCD camera is indeed compatible with this telescope. When you place an order for a Hyperstar, we also ask what kind of camera you will be using on it so that the right adapter can be included with it.Answer by: Roderick (Admin) on Nov 30, 2014 12:30:22 PM
