Takahashi 645 Reducer and Camera Angle Adjuster - FSQ106-EDX

The Takahashi 645 Reducer attaches to the rear-lens-group of the FSQ106ED, and then the rest of the parts included in the kit move “around” the reducer. This allows the reducer to be as close to the telescope’s optics as is necessary, while still allowing focus to be achieved by moving the adapters, CAA, and camera-system relative to the reducer and main optics.

  • KA36581 threads into the FSQ106ED’s focuser draw-tube

  • KA36580L (the reducer itself) passes through KA36581 and threads into the rear-lens-group’s cell in the back of the telescope

  • KP86200 (the large CAA) “slips” over the reducer and threads into KA36581

  • KP86003 changes thread size and distance so as to “standardize” to the Wide-Mount

Questions & Answers

Product Questions

Does the reducer move with the focuser or does it stay stationary and maintain a flat field at the focus point. In other words, will I have to mess with adapters to set the camera at a specific backfocus distance like the smaller TAK reducer?
