Excellent craftsmanship - Smooth as silk
The fit and finish of this focusing aid is really excellent. The action is silky smooth. The direct connection to the focusing shaft of the scope makes the whole assembly very rigid and stable. Almost as if it were original factory equipment except better!

Silky smooth!
I took Brad's advice and got one of these for my CPC 1100 and I'm glad I did. It arrived today, took less than 15 minutes to install. (The instructions are clear and include photos at every step! I did a quick test on a distant daylight object and it worked perfectly.

When you install the stop be sure the half-inch flats are in toward the scope, as shown in the photo. Also, if the focus knob seems tight when you're done, back off the three collar screws a bit until they are slightly snug. That should give you the same feel on the black knob as the original focuser.

After all that, it even looks good - REALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Worth the wait
It took awhile to get it, but it was well worth the wait. The fit and finish is top notch, and the action is as smooth as silk. Is it worth spending the extra dough on an item you'll touch every time you use your scope?....I think so.

Worth every penny
The CPC 1100 is tail heavy to start, so adding a rear mounted SCT focuser from W/O really complicated things. The W/O focuser was wonderful in use and craftmanship, but compounded the balance issue even with a Losmandy rail and weights.
Enter the availability of the Feathertouch after waiting about 6 months for production issues to be solved. No balance issue, milder mirror flop at coarse focus, precision fine focusing and WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I'm using Celestron C11AL-XLT to fit?

I have the Boss II kit and this motor for my C11 edge. The focus travel for this motor is set at 0-65,500 which is only a small fraction of the focus travel for the telescope. Is there a way to change this setting so I can use the focuser? At present I have to deactivate it and focus manually because the difference between visual and CCD is much larger than the 0-65,500.

Dear Friend,

I have a C8 equatoriallly mounted (six yaers old), not CPC, but the rear cell is triangular. What is the correct microfocuser?
