Lumicon 2" UHC (Ultra High Contrast) Filter
The original Lumicon 2" Ultra High Contrast Filter is unbeatable for revealing nebulosity. The Lumicon UHC filter passes three nebula emission lines...the two doubly ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm) and the H-beta line (486nm)...while blocking light pollution and sky glow. The result is superb views of the Orion, Lagoon, Swan and other extended nebulae.
To ensure that your Lumicon filter is the best we can make, the strictest quality control standards are employed throughout the production process. Each Lumicon Ultra High Contrast Filter is individually inspected and proudly inscribed with the percentage of light transmittance of the OIII and H-beta emission lines.
Customer Note: Due to the narrowband nature of the Lumicon UHC filter, it is recommended for telescopes 8" and larger in aperture.

Product Questionsis there a ring/external thread to drive into eye piece? From picture I am not sure how to install this filterQuestion by: Andrey on Aug 10, 2015 7:01:00 AMThis filter has a male 48mm thread that threads into the female thread on a 2" eyepiece or diagonal barrel as well as other types of 2" nosepieces with internal filter threads. This makes the eyepiece/diagonal/accessory barrel approximately 8mm longer and then the whole thing slides into the telescope focuser with the filter attached.Answer by: Chris Hendren (Admin) on Aug 10, 2015 6:14:00 PM
