TeleVue 24mm Panoptic Telescope Eyepiece

With the Panoptic series, Televue has taken the Wide-Field concept to Naglerlike performance levels - A meaningful advance over any eyepiece in its 68 degree field class. The TeleVue 19mm Panoptic eyepiece's size, weight and performance make it an ideal mid-power chioce. Ideal "soul-mate" to Bino Vue. Parfocal with 15mm and other smaller Plossls and Naglers.
TeleVue 24mm Panoptic Eyepiece
Of course, multi-coatings, blackened lens edges, filter threads, rubber grip rings and exemplary construction are standard on all Panoptics. Little niceties such as a cover for the eyeguard, and an undercut in the barrel for extra locking security complete the package. A double identifying ring distinguishes all Panoptics in your eyepiece case.

Al Nagler"Using my Wide-Field design as a starting point, I looked to bring Nagler-like performance to the 60 degree+ field class with the Panoptic series. The idea of a lens to "interface" between the eyepiece and Barlow struck me as the proper way to keep size, weight and cost to a minimum while improving edge of field performance even further." - Al Nagler

About the TeleVue Panoptic BIG Barlow Interface

You can double the power of any eyepiece with the 2x Big Barlow, but adding the interface lens brings the pupil back to original position when used with long focal length eyepieces such as the Panoptic 41, 35, or 27mm 2" models. The combination of interface and Big Barlow mimics the Powermate concept.

High Def TV in an Eyepiece
I have a lot of EP's in my kit...Everything from Orion, Baader, TeleVue, etc, and many others...

The Hyperion line truly offers a great view, and they're worth every penny. I love them, and I use them constantly! And I have to say, they're the best line of EP's for the money.

NOW...Having said that.... if you're ready to upgrade your EP's to the "Big Daddy Of All Eyepiece Brands", and you want to see the heavens in the best quality possible, well, you ain't seen nothin', until you've popped in a TeleVue Panoptic.

I still remember the first night I used my Panoptic EP's....We were speechless, that night. My observing buddies were floored! The only thing coming out of our mouths were tons of dirty expletives, and a bunch of "OMG's"! Was quite funny!

It's kinda like watching an old crummy 14 inch B&W TV your whole life, and then suddenly watching a Blu Ray movie for the first time, in full 1080p quality, with a full-on 7.1 surround sound system! Yes! They're that good!

I have 2 TeleVue Panoptic EP's, and, they're probably the ONLY TeleVue EP's I'll ever own.... unless I hit the Lottery! Believe me, "if" I could afford it, I'd buy EVERY TeleVue EP on the market.

Excellet Eyepiece
I am not a fan of 2 eyepieces, ever try holding them in freezing temperatures? So when this 1 1/4 came along I bought it and have never regretted it. Great for galactic nebulae and whenever wide field is required. Excellent color rendition and flat sharp fields to the edge of my 15 f 4.5 Dob.
