Sky & Telescope Pocket Sky Atlas

Sky Publishing's celestial atlases are the standard by which all other star atlases have been judged for half a century. Now Sky & Telescope has raised the bar with their new Pocket Sky Atlas. There has never been such a wonderfully detailed atlas that is so handy to take on trips and use at the telescope! Thanks to the compact size, convenient spiral-bound design, and easy-to-read labels, you'll be exploring the heavens in no time! The charts show both constellation boundaries and stick figures to help you find your way.

Inside you'll find more than 30,000 stars individually sized according to their relative brightness. But don't stop there! Keep exploring with 1,500 deep-sky objects color-coded by type, including 675 galaxies oriented as they are in the sky. Need more information? In the back you'll find close-up charts of the Orion Nebula region, Pleiades, Virgo Galaxy Cluster, and Large Magellanic Cloud. With labels legible even in dim light you'll find this handy Sky and Telescope Pocket Sky Atlas an invaluable asset to your astronomy club, public outreach and more!

A must have
If I were to own only one star atlas, then this would be it! In all my years in amateur astronomy,I have yet to find an atlas a handy and useful as this one. It contains almost every object that the casual and advanced amateur would be likely to look for. Easy to use next to the telescope.
