Lunt Engineering 10 X 50 Magnesium Binoculars

Beauty, comfort, and performance; these binoculars have it all!  The 10x50 LE model is a perfect marriage of aperture and weight, letting in a respectable amount of light for brilliant views while still remaining comfortable to hand hold. Nitrogen purged magnesium body is highly water resistant and coated in a rubberized body armor for grip and stregth.

Body Features:

Lunt Engineering designed their magnesium binoculars to be durable, utilizing a magnesium body which is at once strong and lightweight, maximizing their size to weight ratio.  Magnesium is also highly corrosion resistant.  To ensure the binoculars are comfortable and remain in your hand, a rubberized armor finish covers the body.    Not only are the 10x50 Magnesium binoculars water and fog proof but they have been rated to to the IEC's  IPX-7 meaning they are able to resist damage in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.  This extreme scenario is not likely to happen, but standard fog and waterproofing would not do.  Lunt's binoculars were built to withstand all of your adventures; whether you're sailing, birding, hiking, skiing, at a ballgame or scanning the heavens.   Perfectly at home in humid conditions and climates, no water, rain, or snow will leave your optics hazy.  This ultra high resistance to water will also keep invasive funguses at bay.  While the 10x50 LE binos are surprisingly lightweight at 2.95 pounds, Lunt Engineering also understands that every pair should be able to be mounted on a tripod, and for that reason a standard 1/4"-20 tripod adapter is included.

Optical Features:

Some times you feel like observing with your glasses and sometimes you don't.  Either way, an ample 20mm of eye relief will provide a comfortable viewing experience.  Adjustable eye-cups further enhance your observing comfort.  Simply fold the eye-cups away when you're wearing your glasses and pop them back up when you're not.  Each ocular focuses individually for optimal focus.  And of course, all of the other great features aside - the most important feature of a pair of binoculars is the optical performance.  You want bright, crisp images with beautiful color and the Lunt Engineering Magnesium LE binoculars will deliver.   BaK-4 precision prisms and fully multi-coated optical glass elements produce excellent sharp detail and contrast.
