Join Us as we Learn All About Canon

All classes are to be taught by factory trained Canon Technical Representatives.

The cost of each class, per attendee, is $25 which may be applied to any Canon purchase in the store the day off the class.

The first class will be on August 1st, 2009 and we'll keep offering them as long as there is interest. Sign up now and as classes form we will contact you, no payment is due at this time.

EOS Digital Rebel Class

A “how to” class specific to shooting with the Digital Rebel, covering the Rebel XT through the Rebel T1i. Topics will include White Balance, Exposure Compensation, Choosing Autofocus Points, Shutter Speed and Aperture Control, Metering, Flash, use of the Histogram, and ISO Control. Also, Portrait mode, Sports mode, Landscape mode, and Close-up mode will be explained in detail. There will be a brief Digital Photo Professional software demo as well. This class lasts about 60-90 minutes.

EOS 40D/50D Class

A “how to” class specific to the EOS 50D and similar cameras, including the EOS 20D through the EOS 50D. This class will cover the use of Apertures and Shutter Speeds, Exposure Compensation, White Balance, Changing ISO, the Histogram, Choosing and Using AF points, different ways to use Flash, The Differences between RAW and Jpeg, AF Modes, Drive Modes, and Picture Style. There will be a brief Digital Photo Pro software demo as well. This class lasts about 60-90 minutes.

EOS 5D Mark II Class

A “how to” class on shooting the 5D Mark II. Topics will include White Balance, Exposure Compensation, Choosing Autofocus Points, Shutter Speed and Aperture Control, Metering, Flash, use of the Histogram, and ISO Control. In Addition, HD video shooting, High ISO shooting, Peripheral Lens Illumination correction, Auto Lighting Optimizer, the DIGIC-4 processor, High ISO Noise Reduction, AF Micro Adjustment, using Live View, Highlight Tone Priority, the advantage of 14 bit processing, and the Dust Elimination system will be covered. There will be a brief Digital Photo Professional software demo as well. This class lasts about 60-75 minutes.

Flash, Lens, and Wireless Transfer Class

(This class is divided into three parts, lasting about 75 minutes in total)
  1. Using Flash
    This class reviews the use of flash and options within the EOS system platform. In addition to a general overview, there will be specific discussion of high-speed synchronization, setting up wireless flash control, macro-lash, and flash compensation.
  2. Choosing and Using Lenses
    This class covers a broad range of Canon lenses and their different uses, including Wide Angle, Telephoto, Super Telephoto, Macro, and Tilt shift lenses.
  3. WIFI Class
    This class covers the use of the new wireless transfer units and different software applications that work with them.
