New Features...
Here is just a sample of the exciting new features:- New look with fully customizable toolbars and menus, tabbed image browsing, and new skins
- Built-in batch processing lets you record a series of steps and play back on one or more images
- Range-restricted filters let you smooth background or sharpen foreground
- New filters such as Rotational Gradient, Gaussian blur, Lucy-Richardson Deconvolution
- New processing tools such as interactive Flatten Background, Bloom Removal, automatic calibration groups
- Enhanced imaging sequences, including auto-mosaic and auto-dither via telescope control, guider, or AO-7
- Graphical track log and calibration trace, configurable audible alarms
Look and Feel improvements include new skins, expanded toolbars, user-editable menus and toolbars, image browsing tabs, full-image processing previews, and improved save-all and close-all handling.
An all-new Command Sequence tool allows you to perform batch image processing without learning a scripting language. Simply record a series of steps, and then play it back on one or more images. Sequences can be saved and loaded, and can be optionally paused during playback for any necessary manual adjustments.
New image processing features include bloom removal, Lucy-Richardson deconvolution, Gaussian blur, curves, rotational gradient filter, white balance, interactive gradient removal, software binning, and more. The all-new calibration tool automatically assembles groups of calibration files based on type, exposure, temperature, filter, and image size. Whenever you calibrate an image, the best groups are automatically selected.
Many existing image processing features have been greatly improved. Image align/combine now sports a more robust auto-star-match with resizing capability, astrometric and planetary alignment modes, and sigma clip and standard deviation masking combine modes. Filters allow pixel range restriction - perfect for smoothing background and sharpening foreground. Mosaic now includes rotation, background leveling, and auto-snap. Improvements have also been made to the annotation tools, animation/blink, bad pixel removal, histogram specification, PinPoint astrometry, and color combine.
