Great family scope
I bought this telescope as our kids have shown an interest in science. The Nexstar 8SE is lightweight and portable, but gathers a good amount of light so you can see a lot more than the moon and the planets. It is very easy to setup, as evidenced by the fact that my 12 year old daughter can get it set up in about 5 minutes. We have had a lot of fun with the telescope in the backyard and look forward to taking it out to dark skies soon. |

Sky align is very easy, but can sometimes be off by a little. Very lightweight, portable and easy to assemble. I am able to see many objects with it and it is overall a great telescope. |
