Most telescopes on the market today are outfitted for astronomical viewing, and come with a star diagonal that will flip the image in one way or another. While this is fine for the planets, the moon, or even the Sun (with the proper filter!), most people would rather see earthly objects in their correct orientation. The #928 Diagonal Prism (smaller of the two diagonals in the photo) accomplishes this image correction and, at the same time, places the eyepiece at a convenient 45-degree viewing angle. It will fit most 1.25" focusers and will accept eyepieces with 1.25" barrels.
Use the #928 with the 1.25" Eyepiece-Holder (07182) for Schmidt-Cassegrains or Maksutov-Cassegrains (standard on many telescopes), place in the #1209 Microfocuser's 1.25" adapter on LX200GPS and GPS-SMT telescopes, or slide directly into the 1.25" focuser on refracting telescopes. While this product WILL fit in a Newtonian reflector's 1.25" focuser, image-erect diagonals do not provide the correct image-orientation on these telescopes.
