Pentax 125 Superb Astrograph
I have been imaging with scopes and ccd cameras for several years now, and have progressed through many scope and cam configurations, in my ongoing quest to improve on my image captures.
I have used many Takahashi refractors and reflectors, with various brand ccd cameras, including Finger Lakes, Starlite express, and SBIG. I purchased a pentax 125 SDP from Eric and Craig, about a year ago, and have been thoroughly enjoying it ever since !
The fit and finish on the Pentax 125 SDP are top quality, and aestheticly pleasing. The tube is not heavy ( for a 5 refractor with 4 glass elements and the focuser is truely superb.
This helicoid focuser is extremely fine in movement, has a very fine graduate scale to see exactly how much you move the focuser, and one full rotation moves the focuser about 1.75 mm
NO PROBLEM obtaining fine focus on ccd chips, MANUALLY.
