A leader in CCD imaging, the Santa Barbara Instrument Group was founded to bring real imaging tools out of the realm of professional-only observatory equipment, and offer them to the amateur astronomer.  The ST-4 changed everything; a simple yet powerful camera kicked off what would become a major trend in the astronomy hobby.  

Since 1990, SBIG has developed a carefully curated production of cameras, bringing the users what they want and need in a CCD camera.  The only cameras of their kind, SBIG offers a dual chip configuration as a standard so you can guide while you image!  In addition to their world renowned cameras, SBIG also offers a variety of filter wheels, adaptive optics, and remote guiding heads as well as seeing monitors and sky cameras.
