Instructions & Guides |
Have you ever wished you could find a website where you could have a
look at your telescope's instruction manual you lost years ago? When
you were going through some papers, did you happen to stumble upon a
great "Getting Started" handout that helped you learn? How about going
through your astronomy club's archives and spotting a "Tip and Tricks"
article that you wish you could see published again? Stumble upon an
instruction sheet for beginners? Or a manual that might be of use?
Well, don't discard those important bits... Here at OPT we'd love to be
able to provide all of our visitors with a central location archive of
information sheets and instruction manuals! The information in the
center of our links section above is free of charge and welcome to be
redistributed. Here you will find Helpful Documents such as "Required Camera Adapters
for Takahashi Reducers/Telescopes" and "Telescope Guides & Tip
Sheets". A look through Instructional Videos will take you to free
instructional videos on many of Meade's most popular telescopes (and
even the DSI)! Follow the links provided to watch the video of your
choice with Windows Media Player or a few are available with
Quicktime. How about Manuals for CCD Cameras and Accessories? We have
what you need in PDF format for learning all about for a wide variety
of SBIG CCD cameras, including the newer STL series as well as retired
cameras like the ST4 and accessories like the AO-7, the Self-Guiding
Spectrograph, Color Filter Wheels, and more! Do you need Manuals for Mounts and Other Accessories? Step
inside where you can find Meade Electronic Eyepiece Instructions,
Installation Instructions for C-14 Flop-Stopper, Instruction Manuals
for Meade Accessories, Instruction Manuals for Orion Accessories,

need a Telescope Manual? Then look no further as we have
the ones you may need for Celestron, Orion, Meade, Takahashi and
William Optics Telescopes. Now you can see the value of sharing your
information!
This on-going astro community service will take some time
as materials are scanned and converted to PDF, but we're working to get
it done. Why not consider contributing to this worthy effort by helping
us build a on-line astronomy information library?
If you find this idea exciting and would like to contribute, please feel
free to contact Penny. You'll
make her very happy!
