OPT is proud to offer Astronomy Technologies "Astro Tech" telescope line...
Astro-Tech 6" f/9 Ritchey-Chrétien Astrograph: Others may copy it, but the 6” Astro-Tech AT6RC astrograph is the first and still the best. Conceived and developed by Astro-Tech, the AT6RC was named a Sky & Telescope Hot Product for 2009! It uses the same kind of Ritchey-Chrétien optical design as the Hubble Space Telescope, but at only a tiny fraction of the Hubble's cost. The AT6RC is designed for serious (but very affordable) imaging with DSLRs, webcams, and DSI-type CCD cameras.
Astro-Tech 8" f/8 Ritchey-Chrétien astrograph with Premium Features: For the amateur astronomer who is into large-format CCD imaging, the Astro-Tech AT8RC is the first truly affordable large aperture true Ritchey-Chrétien astrograph available from a U. S. company. Even better, the industry-leading AT8RC is the first and only affordable R-C with premium features other manufacturers don’t offer – like a carbon fiber body, quartz mirrors, dielectric mirror coatings, two dovetail mounting rails, and even more.
Astro-Tech AT10RC 10" f/8 Ritchey-Chrétien Astrograph: The Astro-Tech AT10RC, the first truly-affordable 10" aperture R-C, joins two other Astro-Tech Ritchey-Chrétien firsts. One is the AT8RC – the first 8" true Ritchey-Chrétien astrograph available from a U. S. company and the first and still the only affordable U. S. 8" R-C with Astro-Tech-designed premium features like quartz mirrors, dielectric mirror coatings, two dovetail mounting rails, and more. The other is the AT6RC – a highly affordable R-C astrograph for DSI and DSLR imaging that was first conceived by, and first brought to market by, Astro-Tech.... And we are serious when we say the 10" aperture AT10RC is “affordable." The Astro-Tech AT10RC is priced nearly $4000 less than the least-expensive competitive 10" R-C currently available.
Astro-Tech 8" f/4 imaging Newtonian Optical Tube: Astrophotographers will find the contrast-enhancing extended nose and 15 internal knife-edge baffles of the 8” f/4 Astro-Tech AT8IN imaging Newtonian to be just what the imaging doctor ordered to improve the looks of their deep space photos. Visually, it also provides spectacular wide field deep space and solar system views. Use it with 1.25” and 2” eyepieces, 35mm cameras, DSLRs, web-cams, DSI-type cameras, and large format CCD cameras alike.
